Hole in the Wall is holding auditions for its spring production of The Bacchae By Euripedes. The show opens May 28th and runs Fridays and Saturdays through June 26th with two Sunday matinees, April 6th and 20th. All of the female roles are on-stage for most of the show. The Chorus of Theban women and the Bacchants are the heart of The Bacchae. They come from many cultures and several roles require strong movement and vocal skills. This is a multiracial production. Auditions for women only will be held at Trinity on Main, 69 Main Street in New Britain on Sunday, March 14th at 2 pm, Sunday, March 21st at 2 pm and Monday, March 22nd at 7 pm. Prepared readings are not necessary but come dressed to engage in movement.
Auditions for men (9) and women will be held at Hole in the Wall Theater, 116 Main Street in New Britain on March 28th at 7 pm.
If you play a hand-held instrument of some kind, please bring it to auditions.
