Announcing our first production of the 2022-23 season!

Join us November 3 - 5 for a free workshop staged reading of Bekah Brunstetter’s poignant and hopeful comedy Going to a Place Where You Already Are. Brunstetter is best known as a writer of the hit NBC series This is Us

“A terrific new play.” – Los Angeles Times

In Going to a Place Where You Already Are, Roberta and Joe have always agreed that there is no afterlife, only life to be lived in the here and now. But recently the idea of mortality has become more real for Roberta, making her question her assumptions about where she will spend eternity.

With humor and humanity, Brunstetter’s play explores life, family, and moving on.

Directed by new member Jenny Schuck and stage managed by new member Sara Courtemanche.

Performances November 3, 4 and 5 at 8 p.m. The production will be free to the public with donations gratefully accepted.

We're back! We hope you will be too.

The current version of the New Haven Theater Company has been entertaining audiences since 2009.  Our audience has become our family.  In this new theater season we will all need family and the theatre more than ever and NHTC needs you.  Buy a ticket, tell a friend, donate what you are able, spread the word! We look forward to seeing old and new faces as we re-open our doors and navigate this new season.  We will come together, under the stage lights, to share our stories, to laugh and cry, to explore the many worlds that theater can create. Can't wait to see you there. - Many Thanks - New Haven Theater Company
